Healing of Masculine and Feminine Relationships
Abbot David Geraets, OSB Oliv. & Dr. Marie Di Sciullo-Naples

Price - $200/$320

Abbot David and Dr. Marie will combine their expertise to present a retreat on “Healing of Masculine and Feminine Relationships.” They will bring many years of study and personal experience to us and make use of dreams; inner child workshops and other tools from Charismatic Renewal and Depth Psychology in the healing process. Actual dream analysis and open group discussion will be an interesting part of this retreat.

In accepting our request for their valuable time and talent for this retreat both Abbot David and Dr. Marie said, “We welcome this opportunity to return to Pecos to concentrate on healing both from an individual perspective and many years of team ministry. Hope to see you there.”

December 10-14

Community Retreat: Holy Expectations
Fr. Young, OFM

Price - $200/$320

During Advent, the Pecos community takes time to rest and ponder together as the mystery of joyful waiting and expectation of the Lord both in the end times of the Parousia and the spiritual preparation for a holy celebration of the Christmas, which is the “Verbum Incarnatun Est” (Word made flesh), God’s humble act of becoming a human being like us, Jesus Christ, Our Lord. In fact, the whole of humanity continues in eager longing today for Peace in the midst of so many wars and conflicts, of Joy in the midst of the prevailing toll of human sufferings and of Love in the midst of a selfish and soul-less generation. We welcome everyone to join us in this closing retreat of the year especially those who long for silence and solitude in gratitude and thanksgiving for the wonders that God has done throughout the whole year!

The preacher for this retreat is Fr. Young, OFM, a highly distinguished Franciscan friar and spiritual guide today.

December 15-Jan.2,2008:

Individual Private Retreats at the Hermitages of theMonastery

This retreat is open for those who felt the call to come alone in prayer and contemplation here at the monastery during the seasons of Advent and Christmas.

The last two weeks of the year is a good time to make a personal inventory of one’s walk and life with God, to discern on what choices to make in the beginning of the year or one can simply rest and pray after the stress and tensions of the year just gone by. Spiritual Directors and Confessors from any of the monks and sisters of Pecos are available upon personal request by the guest.
